Quantum mechanics is the physical theory that studies physical systems whose dimensions are close to or below the atomic scale, such as molecules, atoms, electrons, protons, and other subatomic particles, although it can also describe macroscopic phenomena in several cases.

Atoms and the way they interact with light were the basis of the most surprising of theories in physics.

When studying the emission of heat and light from a hot object, the German physicist Max Planck proposed that the light is released in "packages", called photons. In other situations, however, the light behaves like a wave, without "packages". According to quantum theory, the correct definition of light is: it is a wave and a particle. So things that we normally see as particles or solid objects - the bread you eat in the morning or the vehicle that takes you to work, for example - also have a wave behavior in their nature. By quantum theory, anything can be described as a wave.

The structure of the atom is formed by the nucleus, which consists of two particles (protons and neutrons), and the electrosphere, which holds the electrons. Atoms are infinitely small particles that make up all matter in the universe.

Having knowledge of this fact and all the information already mentioned so far, we can hypothetically say that I, you, all the other people that exist on Earth, trees, and even inanimate objects would, in fact, be a unique being.

If we analyze the concept of how human vision works and correlate it with Max Planck's proposal; figuratively speaking, we can say that we project the reality we live through our brain. That is, the seven billion people in the world are also you. And each of these seven billion people is also projecting realities, so we can still suggest that not only do we live one reality, but many, if not infinite realities happening at the same time. And this is not just a guess in my head. There is a theory called Interpretation of the Many Worlds, proposed by the physicist Hugh Everett, in 1957. According to Everett, the wave never collapses, all the possibilities of localization of the particle would be equally true, thus creating, at each instant, an infinity of quantum bifurcations, each giving rise to a parallel universe, where everything that can happen, in fact, happens (somewhere). If we are made of atoms, then we can say that yes we are quantumly bifurcating at all times and so is all our knowledge, at different levels.

That is - there are millions of versions of yourself, each one living in a slightly or completely different universe, and every time you make a decision, there is another "you" who made the opposite decision, and that is out there, in some parallel universe. This “place”, this sum of all these parallel quantum universes, is known as Hilbert Space.

In practice, this means that each act of kindness is an act of kindness to ourselves, and also the equivalent opposite.

The artist Patrícia Ariane proposes to transport this approach and interaction between the different areas of knowledge, in this context; science, philosophy, spirituality, physics, and biology, to name a few; for the material and tangible dimension through art-making, and, through artistic poetics, synthesize, as a good equation synthesizes an immense amount of data on a square centimeter of paper, all these “areas of associations” where ideas, theories, senses, memories, and thoughts are integrated to produce a unique conscious scene, the fabric from which our experience is made.

The proposal is to create an installation that communicates the interaction between these different areas of knowledge from the idea of a fabric of parallel realities, in this case, each “reality” being represented by a luminous LED wire in lilac color.

A rectangular wooden structure (of the mahogany type) of 3 meters wide (9,8 feet), 4 meters long (13,1 feet), and 69 centimeters (27,1 inches) high will be assembled on the gallery space to be decided with the museum and will remain in space for 30 days (+ 5 days for assembly and disassembly).

In the first day of the installation exhibition, there will also be a performance. The installation itself is a performance. The wooden structure will be previously assembled, but the wires will be installed live, with the presence of the public.

From the vertical (13,1 feet side), 9 LED wires of 12 meters length (39,3) will break, and from the horizontal (9,8 feet side), 7 wires also of 12 meters length will break. Each wire will be pulled by the artist, who will be dressed in a kind of underpants in the pants version, in the fabric of her skin tone, and long-sleeved blouse, also in the same tone, as the performance will be performed in the dark, with lighting spots in the corners of the exhibition space and directed to the wall, and it is important for the visual effect of the project to reflect the LED light on the clothes, so the clothes color can not interfere. There will be needed 3 days for rehearsal which has to preferable happen at the museum because of matters of transport, to not damage the wood structure. There will also be moments that the artist will pull a portion of the threads by the public and throughout the exhibition space.

The artist will pull the wires across the structure, attaching each wire to the wood. As the wires are attached to the wooden structure, the artist begins to interact with the wires that were attached previously, that is, at a certain moment, she will need to move in order to go over the LED wire already attached, or below so that the yarn LED LIGHT FABRIC can be created from the interlacing of the yarns, with the result of the performance being a true and symbiotic ballet of lights and movements.

While the weaving of the wires is going on, an abstract composition created by the artist will be playing simultaneously, characterizing the work as multidisciplinary. Inspired by phenomenology, a science about the experience that becomes aware of the world, in the relation between human consciousness and the world outside it, and diverse artists such as David Bowie, Grace Jones, Jean Michel Basquiat "Grey"s, György Ligeti, Luigi Nono and also dialogues with the social Information, through several layers of surreal fragmented harmonies, produced from the use of sample machines, synthesizers, digital effects and the use of Avant-Gard instruments constructed from unconventional materials, such as keys, metal beads, and glass.

The presentation of the Installation will be defined), will last for one hour and will be filmed on the first day. From the second day, the footage of the installation's construction will be projected on the wall and will be transmitted to visitors during the exhibition period.
