Bio
I've always loved drawing and coloring since I was a child but it was in the Fashion College that I started to direct myself professionally to art. I was amazed by the Egiptian and Byzantine Art from History and Aesthetics class. My first semester project was exhibited at the International Esmod Reunion (L'Ecole Superieure des Arts et techniques de la mode), in Tunisia, South Africa, on July 2010. The same year I was invited to exhibit my fashion sketches at LAB Club in Sao Paulo. Through the Art History class I got close to all the Vanguard Art Movements, mostly the Expressionism and artists like Edward Munch, Paul Klee and Egon Schiele. I visited the exhibition of the Fashion Designer Christian Lacroix and his free lines made me look at my own drawings from another perspective. I started to go to museums in Sao Paulo like MASP and Pinacoteca to see personally works from Andy Warhol, Max Ernst, Van Gogh, Picasso, Salvador Dali and dive even deeper in that universe. Still in 2010, a friend told me about Jean Michel Basquiat movie and I connected immediately. Same friend borrowed me a book, The Spiritual in Art, from Wassilly Kandinsky. In 2011 a friend gave me my first blank canvas. I started to work on a musical project and the contact with music would also inspire me to draw. Everytime I could I would draw in the studio or the office. In that office I literally touched works from Marc Chagall and Picasso. In 2012 I received an invitation to illustrate a book about Marquis de Sade and I was given the art of Herakut as reference. That was my first contact with contemporary Street Art. In 2012 I painted my first wall. Lots of patterns were I felt absolutely free. From that day on, drawing changed completely to me. In 2013 I finally I got to paint the canvas I got from my friend in 2011. My father and a friend gave me some more canvas. Since then I didnt stop painting anymore. I love drawing, painting and creating more than anything in my life and I want to reach people that love art and creation just as much as I do.
