O QUE

Inspired by ancient medieval celestial measuring instruments, NASA technology to make the sounds of planets and celestial bodies audible, and conventional musical instruments, artist Patrícia Ariane developed the "Contemporary Medieval Celestial Measuring Objects" and thus was born the "Luminous Stars" series, featuring 11 art objects, each representing a contemporary celestial measuring object designed to measure the sound of a given planet, one for each planet, including Pluto, the dwarf planet, one for the Sun and one for the Moon.

The objects will be designed in wood and iron/brass by the artist Patrícia Ariane in partnership with the artists Raphael Franco and Guilherme Rossi. The works, which measure on average 1.60 meters in height, will be truly touchable through meticulous luthiery work, so that people will be invited to interact with the works and emit the sounds of the universe from them according to their individual sensitivity.

A projection will also be shown with the planets and their respective audios captured by NASA with the aim of making the visit an experience that involves the different senses.

The 11 objects will be installed at Pivô Arte e Pesquisa gallery, in the city of São Paulo, where a music festival will also take place during the day.

The event will happen in December 2025.
