FORGOTTEN BOYS / BAND

The band Forgotten Boys began in 1997 in São Paulo, when drummer Arthur Franquini showed his friend, guitarist and vocalist Gustavo Riviera, two songs he had composed. The idea was to create a sound based on rock artists from the 1970s and the proto-punk movement, such as MC5, New York Dolls, The Stooges and Johnny Thunders. The two rehearsed the songs and decided to record them the next day. After a two-hour session at El Rocha studio, the duo had their first demo tape (still a cassette) in hand. From then on, the band's career remained independent in the national music scene.

JONNATA DOLL E OS GAROTOS SOLVENTES FEAT VERÔNICA VALENTINO/ ARTISTS

Verónica Valenttino and Jonnata Doll e os Garotos Solventes have come together to create a national underground rock show that promises to shake up the streets:

Jonnata Doll e os Garotos Solventes is a rock band from Ceará based in São Paulo with pre and post punk influences and whose visceral songs and performances inhabit an urban imaginary full of love and decadence. With a recognized trajectory, four albums released and awards in public notices, Jonnata Doll e os Garotos Solventes are currently working on their next album and collaborating with prominent artists.

Verónica Valenttino, the artist behind the band Verónica Decide Morrer, makes antisexual and glam rock’n’roll. Her autobiographical songs reveal the vision of the streets, combined with an incendiary commitment. Also an actress and nightlife diva, her references range from the cult film “Rocky Horror Picture Show” to Belchior. The award-winning artist has won titles such as Best Actress of 2023 (Shell Award), Newcomer Actress in Musicals (Bibi Ferreira Award 2022), Best Newcomer in Musicals (DID Award 2022), Best Actress in Musicals (Arcanjo Award, 2022), to name a few.

The meeting:

In 2021, Jonnata Doll e os Garotos Solventes won the PROAC circulation notice. The closing of this tour featured a show featuring Verónica Valenttino. Together, they performed the song “Filtra me” from Solventes’ third album, and Verónica Decide Morrer’s song: “Testemunha de trava”.

This meeting was pure chemistry on stage, and from then on, both strengthened their pre-existing partnership and friendship and put together a new show, the result of this partnership. Verónica Valenttino and Jonnata Doll e os Garotos Solventes make national underground rock, with a marginal street flavor and intense performances, involving the anti-sexual discussion that this feat represents. If it depends on these artists, rock will remain alive and dangerous.
